Is Cluff Studio an agency or management company?

Cluff Studio is not an agency or management company.

-Cluff Studio trains actors so they will be ready for auditions and representation.

-Cluff Studio prepares students to be one step ahead of their peers in the acting industry. Cluff gives students the tools and skills to achieve success as actors.

-Cluff Studio assists students in building self-confidence. Giving students the empowerment to accomplish goals and challenges that they may face as actors and professionals.

Will studying with Cluff Studio get me an agent?

Cluff Studio does not work with any agencies or casting directors. It is each students responsibility to set-up audition with agencies and/or casting directors. Cluff assists students in preparing them for: audition training, on going coaching, continued skill strengthening, and confidence building. In turn, students will be prepared to meet with agents and take any career path within the film/tv industry or any other profession.

What age group does Cluff Studio instruct?

Cluff Studio instructs children 4 years to 18.

I have little to NO experience but have a genuine passion for acting. Can I still study with Cluff Studio?

Yes you can. Cluff teaches and coaches both experienced professionals and beginners.

Is there a specific acting "method" that is taught at Cluff Studio?

Since each student learns differently and is unique Cluff Studio has blended traditional "methods" with modern day techniques, in order to present each student with a well rounded learning experience.

Cluff Studio calls this the "combination method". The "combination method" teaches students not only several affective methods but also gives students the ability to create their own "method" or style of acting.

CONSULTATION PROGRAM

Does Cluff Studio provide consultation for parents and students who are new to the industry? How about those who are working actors?

What do I do if my child has an agent or other representation but is not progressing in the industry?

There are several reasons why your child may not be progressing. A couple include:
1) Your child may not have proper acting training.
2) Your child may need tools such as the right headshot to get them into the next stage - auditions.

With Cuff Studio's Consultation Program parents are able to identify particular reasons for their child's lack of progress and learning how to correct and overcome the challenges.

I don't know exactly how to go about getting the right agency for my child. Can Cluff Studio help me?

ACTING WORKSHOPS

Can I audit a workshop?

You are allowed to audit one session of a workshop. Most workshops are 6 weeks. You could audit one session, which means attend one week of the workshop. In order to audit a workshop session, you must have prior approval from Cluff Studio.

Do students get an opportunity to showcase?

All students are required to showcase and perform in front of their parents and/or friends after their 6-week workshop(s). The structure of the showcase depends on the specific workshop.

I loved taking a workshop and would like to take it again. Is it possible to take it again?

Yes you can. When you enroll in a workshop with Cluff Studio and complete the workshop you may retake it. Cluff Studio workshops are on-going, allowing students to continue building their acting skills. Continuing students receive discounts when continuing training within a workshop.

People tell me that I am good-looking enough to be on TV. Do I still need to take acting workshops/classes?

Yes you do. Many people think that acting is easy. It's not. Being an actor is hard work. It is the most competitive and cut-throat business there is. As an actor you need to continue to improve your skills, be up to date with industry requirements and current techniques. You must know what is expected of you. Constant training is a must just like any other career.

Does Cluff Studio provide training for students (with agents/managers) who need one-on-one coaching to strengthen their acting skills?

Yes, Cluff Studio offers one-on-one training for students who are working actors. These students receive a very tailored one-on-one training to build their acting skills and the confidence they need for upcoming auditions, meeting with casting directors and can receive on-going acting training to keep acting skills honed.

My child is very shy and finds it hard to perform in front of others. Does Cluff Studio assist acting students in this predicament?

Cluff Studio offers coaching for students who are not ready for classroom structured workshops. Assisting students in gaining the confidence they need to succeed and slowly integrating them to studying in a classroom setting amongst their peers.

What can I expect in my private sessions at Cluff Studio?

Private sessions are specific to each individual. They are usually geared towards cold reading, scene study, monologue, audition techniques, etc.
